What is Prostate Cancer?
The prostate is part of the male reproductive system. It is about the size of a walnut and surrounds the urethra (the tube that empties urine from the bladder). It produces fluid that makes up a part of semen. If the shape of the prostate has changed, the urethra will become narrow which leads to urinating difficulty.
Prostate cancer is the top three common cancer among the man in Hong Kong. According to the Hong Kong Cancer Registry, the data shows that the number of new cases of prostate cancer has increased from 969 to 1,655 in the past 11 years, an increase of more than 70%.

High-risk groups
1. Family history. You have more than one first-degree relative (father, son, or brother) who had prostate cancer
2.- Eating habit. Red meat, processed meats, and foods high in fat appear to be bad for those with prostate cancer.
Assessment the risk of prostate cancer
It can be evaluating the risk of prostate cancer through testing the Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level by a blood test. The chance of having prostate cancer goes up as the PSA level goes up, but no set cutoff point can tell for sure if a man does or doesn’t have prostate cancer, the number of prostate problems can also affect the PSA levels. The prostate ultrasound can also assess the risk of prostate cancer.
The male health check plan in Mobile medical
Men's plans can check the prostate specific antigen (PSA) level in the blood to assess the risk of prostate cancer and/or prostate ultrasound, so that people can check their prostate health according to their needs.Learn More: Male Body Check
Besides, Mobile Medical has released the new technology called mRNA Circulating Tumor Cells Screening. This technology can screen out and detect the ultra-early stage of Tumor (0.2 cm or above) by investigating CTCs. mRNA dynamic gene technology is up to 93-97% of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity by using non-invasive and safety technology. It can also be detected earlier compared with CT、MRI、PET Scan. The common tumors in Hong Kong can be screen by mRNA technology.Learn More: mRNA Circulating Tumor Cells Screening
